This past weekend I spent in Ratliff City, Oklahoma while Richard was away at a Ropes Course Training in Big Sandy, Texas. I got to my parents on Wednesday night and left Monday morning. It was very nice to be home again and get to see my parents and hang out. Joan (my twin sister) also came to my mom and dad's house over the weekend and I got to see her and my beautiful niece. Wednesday night we went to church and then over to a little convenient store that has a seating area and you can order food. Thursday, I went to work with my mom, she's a postmaster. It was interesting seeing everything in that light. Thursday evening my mother and I went to Duncan to the Stephens County Fair, what an interesting site that was to see. We went with my brother and niece and she rode a few rides. It was EXPENSIVE though!! It was $1 per ticket and everything costs between 3 or 4 tickets. She enjoyed the rides and everything that was. We rode the Farris Wheel and she just loved it, saying that she could see "everything". It was really neat to enjoy that with her.
Friday, my mom took off work and we went to see a friend of our family and her baby. She was an adorable baby girl, with red hair and all. Then we went to visit my friends mother and had lunch there. After lunch we headed to Duncan to meet up with Joan and her baby. We hung out and got to spend some quality time together. Saturday we just hung out, went and watch "The Help" which was absolutely amazing! My niece was acting a little crazy, but nonetheless it was fun. Sunday we went to church, which there were 2 really great sermons to hear. Sunday afternoon I looked through some of my parents pictures as Sunday evening at church, we all took our Wedding pictures with us and the message was "'Til Death Do We Part" It was really neat to see everyones wedding pictures. With that I found some gems of my parents and one that I was able to download to the computer.
This first pictures is of my parents and their engagement picture. I believe it was taken on February 14, 1968...It was very surprising to see my parents in their youth! My dad was 19 and my mother was 18.
This picture is of Azareah (left) and Jacobi (right). They are my wonderful nieces on my side of the family. This was Azareah's 1st Birthday picture.
This is Richard and I acting like ourselves at Azareah's birthday party.
And this picture was taken right after my College Graduation when Richard gave me those gorgeous roses.
We will be moving this weekend into our "permanent" home here in Trinity so there will be lots of fun with that and organizing everything for the next week or so. I will try to update again soon.
In Him,
Jessica Bombach
