So, we've been here for 3 weeks. It seems like it has been so much longer than that and so much shorter than that all at the same time. We are getting into a better routine now and that is very nice and helpful for both Richard and I. Tonight, Richard is on "prowl" and we'll be here until midnight tonight. I am not required to stay here until midnight, but as my fear of the dark and staying alone is as much as it is, I prefer to just wait it out here. Plus, it gives me plenty of computer time and time to read books and make bracelets to wear. That is one of my favorite things right now, just getting to relax and enjoy a good book and making simple little "summer bracelets".
The last two days I have been able to go to the pool after lunch and enjoy swimming, going down the 50 foot slide, and jumping off of the platform (which at my best guess is 15 feet above the water). The full time staff's little boys have been going every day and had invited me multiple times, I just hadn't taken the time to go, and I'm very grateful to have gone the last two days. I'm starting to get a good tan but boy am I tired! Playing in the water and keeping up with two 4 year olds and a 2 year old is rough work in the water. They are continually wanting to swim, jump, and slide. It makes it all the more fun to be able to enjoy the time at the pool with some pretty neat and special kiddos.
Other than that, we really haven't been doing much of anything outside of the camp. We get here every morning around 8:45 and get home most nights ranging anywhere from 6:30-10:00. Our days and full and buys with the little tasks that each of us are responsible for. I've been folding a lot of clothes lately, and I definitely and reminded why I didn't care so much for my retail job in college. Although this is much different than that job, folding clothes is never a lot of fun.
Everything else is going great though and I couldn't be happier than to be exactly where I am right now and to be there with the man whom I love.
In Him,
Jessica Bombach
